Sponsored Review - Candy Magic Barbie King Size Circle Lenses in Gray

Hello, everyone! It's been a long time since I last posted. I still have a few things left to post about my Japan trip earlier this year, but after the earthquake and tsunami hit, I lost any kind of motivation to blog whatsoever. I was just too worried about the situation in Japan and Take-chan's family that lives in Tokyo. Luckily, he was able to contact them through telephone not too long after learning about the incident, but I still felt an overall sadness for them and the rest of Japan. Instead of blogging, I decided to put all of my time and effort into studying. I just took a big exam earlier this week, so I finally have some time to update. Thank you so much for continuing to follow me until now! ♥

I was very lucky to be chosen by Shoppingholics to review a pair of their lenses of my choice! I decided to go with gray because all the other lenses I've ever worn up until now were brown. I know it's an older series, but it's undoubtedly a good one! I chose the very popular:

Candy Magic Barbie King Size Circle Lenses in Gray

Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Life Span: 1 year disposal

Tons of Japanese models have been seen wearing this style, including Ageha's Sakurina and Popteen's Kumiko Funayama and Nana Suzuki! ♥ I also received this package earlier than expected. It was estimated to take 15-20 working days, but it arrived in about 10. They were also very polite in communicating to me, which is a big plus!

You could tell the effort they put into packaging their lenses. Very cute and neat! It was like a little present. ♥ It even came with a thank you note and a friendly reminder to soak my new lenses in solution for 8 hours before usage. How considerate! ^__^

Really nice shade of gray. I was so excited to try these on!

Camwhoring time! This is without flash during the daytime.

Without flash.

Without flash once again, but in a different room with different lighting. I look kinda washed out here...

Without flash.

And with flash! The color really pops out now. ♥

These lenses do not disappoint. It's no wonder why they became so popular! I'm considering getting them in the other colors, especially brown. ♥ I wore these for about 6 hours with minimal drying and no lense awareness. Also, 14.5mm was the perfect size for me! I would definitely recommend these! ^__^

I hope you enjoyed this review! And once again, please visit Shoppingholics and check out their great lenses. They now carry Tsubasa Masuwaka's Bambi Series! ♥ You can also find many other popular beauty products there.

Visiting Take-chan

Whenever I spend the day with my Take-chan, I always like to dress up for him! :3 Last Saturday, we tried a new ramen place that had soft boiled eggs just like in Japan, and it was so delicious! ♥ We also did other random things like shopping around Ikea and watching Disney's Beauty and the Beast while eating sukiyaki. (´▽`) Pretty casual stuff, but we always have so much fun! So here's what I wore that day:

Hat: Wal-Mart
Crop top: One Way
Black tank top: One Way
Shorts: Abercrombie & Fitch
Fake fox tail: Chiara
Boots: R&E

Straight hair for today. ^__^

Nerding Out in Japan

After returning from Kyoto, Take-chan took me to Japan's famous Electric Town, Akihabara. There were so many arcades and otaku-friendly stores (including maid cafes)! xD

On the way to the station, we bumped into this adorable Shiba Ken! ♥ Looks like he's more interested in my bear than taking a photo, though. xD

Just a small glimpse of Akihabara. If you look closely, there's a Left 4 Dead 2 banner hidden behind the trees! ♥

I loved how the streets were so colorful. ^__^

One thing I really wanted to experience in Japan was going to a maid cafe, so that's exactly what we did! xD Take-chan and I went to the 7th floor of @ Home Cafe, where we were served by the lovely Layla. She was so sweet! As soon as we walked in, she gave us a really warm welcome. Of course I chose her to be our maid! (´▽`) I wish I could've taken photos, but they unfortunately aren't permitted. It was a really fun experience, though! I got to eat a really cute dessert and take Polaroids with Layla (which she decorated). ♥

Me and Layla! Isn't she cute? ♥ I'm also holding the dessert I ordered, which was decorated to look like a bunny! :3

Take-chan joins in for another Polaroid! And Rilakkuma's face gets cut off by my arm... U.U

On the way back home, I asked Take-chan if we could stop by the Square Enix building. ♥

They have such a gorgeous entrance! I also love the snowflakes they added to the windows. ^__^

Kupo! :3 I believe this adorable Moogle is in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV MMORPG. It makes me really sad that I don't own a PS3. T__T

After checking out the store in the lobby, we noticed that there was a second room where they were showcasing a bunch of figurines and other merchandise. When I walked in and looked at the floor, I was shocked to see this...

Holy smokes, it's Sephiroth! (゚д゚) He looked so real it was scary, but it was also really cool. ♥

It's as if he was going to open his eyes at any moment! *__*

Another awesome display: Sora from the very first Kingdom Hearts!

And last but not least, Mie's having a giveaway! If you win, you can get these really cute bath bombs that look and smell like ice cream! ♥ I think it only lasts until this Friday, though, so be sure to enter soon! ^__^
